Area Rug Hole & Patch Work

Hole and patchwork are the same services. When you have a hole in your area rug, you need to have the same material and color to match them and patch it in. Rugs are always done off site along with seaming if necessary. We supply all the tools and materials. Area rugs are taken out because any hole/patchwork needs to be performed with a very steady hand and a lot of time. Depending on how intense the hole/patch is it could take anywhere from 1 week to 1 month, our patch expert will let you know before they pick up your rug.

Area Rug Weaving Rebuilding

Weaving and building fall into our custom repair orders. Any weaving or building is very time consuming, detailed and is not returned until its perfect. At A and B Carpet we take repairs or any sort extremely seriously so please allow time for weaving and building of your damaged rug. We match colors, fabrics and styles and they are available. Most area rugs that a customer requests to be weaved or built are usually valuable and/or a family legacy. Either way, rest assured we will take good care of your area rug.

Area Rug Moth Damage

Prevention and deep cleaning are the best prevention from getting a minor or major moth infestation. That's why rugs should be cleaned at least once a year, twice a year, if they have, are used a lot. If you find yourself with a rug with moth, do not wait thinking they will just go away, they will attach themselves to your rugs and eat away at the fibers. As soon as you see one flying around your rug or actually on your area rug fold it, put it into a large plastic garbage bag and call us, A and B Carpet NY. We will pick it up, have it sprayed with our Eco-Friendly moth elimination formula, deep clean it twice, steam and dry it.

The moths will be done and gone, and your rug will be safe from them.

Water & Fire Damage

Whether it is water, sewer, fire, smoke damage we can pick up your rugs anytime, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week in all areas. We will come to the location, and then issue you a price, pick-up your rug and deliver the area rug back in about 7 days. We can even work directly with your insurance company, so you don't have to. We first steam the excess water out of the area rug, spray it for mildew and mold prevention, wash it intensely, sanitize, deodorize, steam it again and dry it. If the water damage came from any sewer or other dirty and unsanitary waters, we would double that process. Fire/Smoke Damage rugs get the same exact treatment but always doubled the amount of deodorizing is added to get rid or any smoke odor.
